Homework in elementary is easy as you have a maximum of 4 classes (Core classes). It is somewhat easy to keep up with as you have very little classes. Now in middle school you have double the classes, double the homework, and less time to do it. This is unfair because us students don't go to school for 7-8 hours just to then work at home. There is a reason classes are 1 hour and 30 minutes long because if we wanted to give extra work we'd make them longer. Homework builds up stress and anxiety as it is hard to keep up with especially with extracurricular activities. Also as teachers say school isn't a place to sleep. This means that home isn't a place to work.
