As students here on campus we are very limited to campus resources. Understanding the circumstances we are under, students understand that things had to be changed. But, the operating hours the Wolfgram Library is running on make it very limited to be able to excel in our difficult courses. We are expected to be able to put in maximum time into our studies, but many students have classes throughout the day and many work. Thus making it difficult to find a comfortable place to study with, the library only being open 1pm-8pm. By the time we are able to get to the library it is practically closed. Many students use the library as a stress relief and a safe place to study. We find it beneficial to get out of the house and to be able to study in the library. Many students may not even have a desk or study spot within their own homes. These minimized hours unfortunately are increasing stress on all students here at Widener. Our goal with this is to achieve extended hours, ultimately maximizing not only our performance in the classroom but overall our mental health and stress levels as college students through a global pandemic. Of course, this being said with social distancing guidelines being followed.
