An amazing English teacher at Westford Academy, Mr. Estabrook is being laid off due to budget cuts. Mr. Estabrook has been a favorite teacher to many students over his eight years of teaching for Westford Academy. However, now even though he could very well be called the best English teacher at Westford Academy he is told he will not be returning next school year. Personally, Mr. Estabrook has made me enjoy English, a subject I usually do not like, he has furthermore given me the motivation to study hard and get good grades in his class. His class is a safe space where all his students can be themselves without ever being reprimanded. Not only is Mr. Estabrook an English teacher for Westford Academy but he is also the Cross Country, Indoor Track and Track coach. Mr. Estabrook is passionate about running and you can tell that when he's coaching. In an interview with the Ghost Writer, Mr. Estabrook said the best part of his day is ”...definitely interacting with students a ton. It makes everything worthwhile knowing you can help students and maybe have a positive impact on their day.” This quote is obviously illustrating Mr. Estabrooks's passion for teaching and care for his students, something many other teachers do not project. The students at Westford Academy need incredible teachers like Mr. Estabrook, engaging, caring and assessable.
