A majority of students feel an extra level of stress and difficulty to learn effectively, because of this there is increased negativity regarding people's abilities or lack thereof to properly function in a non-learning environment as everyone tries to figure out proper policy for such unprecedented times.  Some students may feel more relaxed because of the replacement of in person lectures and labs but the fact that it is only some people that feel a benefit, creates an unfair disadvantage to students.  There has also been discussion that the grades remaining to work as they would in a proper learning environment is taking away scholarships that many students need to even attend this Institute.  For the enhancment of the experience of the students and teachers, we the student body believe it is not a far out idea to take the approach of multiple other schools in leveling the playing field by switching to a pass or fail system to cope with the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 virus.
