Every year the mercury level of thermometer crosses the temperature bar above 45 degree and the administration of IIT Delhi puts the notice in every hostel stating that desert coolers are strictly prohibited inside the hostel rooms.

 

Now our points are

Administration will say that for the study purpose you can go to library and C.S.C. but Dear authorities can you please suggest us some place to sleep also, as proper sleep is necessary for efficient livelihood. 

If they think Dengue is the reason then please provide us the data that how many deaths has been occurred in the past in other institutions like (D.T.U.) in which coolers are allowed in the hostels. After stopping coolers still there are so many dengue cases in IIT  Delhi hospital itself.

If electricity is the problem then we are ready to pay for the bills.

If temp. will rise like that only then do authorities have any plans for 8000 students of the institute or we have to suffer like that only.

In addition to this more than one students have to adjust in a single 10*10 feet room without cooler making it difficult in summers without any requisite arrangements.

If not cooler then you can provide one big AC room in which we can sleep properly because we are not allowed to sleep in common rooms.

Our demand is to allow desert coolers in the hostel rooms or give us some alternative solution for this problem.
