Change Game/CT Collab Class

The Issue

Problems:

  • CT people are learning what they already learned.
  • Game Design people are not learning useful knowledge directly applicable to their major.
  • The syllabus is more catered to CT knowledge rather than skills for the Game track.
  • Both parties do not want to collaborate at this point - at the end of junior year. This could have been implemented earlier on when we have more time to experiment before we graduate.
  • We are paying a lot of tuition for something we no longer/do not want to learn at this point in our education/career

Solutions:

  1. Split the courses into two separate tracks OR
  2. Have no more than two projects where the two tracks are collaborating and restructure the course to be less CT-focused (especially ones that are repeat for CT) and teach more skills in the Game track.

Please sign if you agree.
