We start our petition with an inquiry. Why does the university restrict students from entering the university while wearing path fit uniform if they're wearing it on the schedule of their PE class? Is there a specific and valid reason for this restriction? Why is the university's recognized uniform not allowed when entering the university?  Students from different colleges see this problem as something that inconveniences their time at school since they need to wear their university uniform when entering the campus and then they change into their PE uniform. It's not only a hassle but it also affects its purpose as a prescribed university PATH FIT uniform.

Students are greatly affected by this restriction! Besides from the inconvenience it makes to the students, it also implies that the university itself does not recognize the said uniform as an official university uniform as the one wearing it is not being allowed to enter the university. The students spent money to be able to comply to the universities requirement to wear the said uniform for their one subject. It also ridicules the significance of the student's purchase of the uniform, which signifies his or her willingness to follow the university's rules and regulations.

We are afraid that if this will not change soon, the university will start losing the student's respect and commitment. The EVSU's 4th core value implies Unity in Diversity. Due to this concern, the university is now being divided as the students who should be the focus of the university’s policies and regulations are starting to be displeased of the university's actions.  When changes are applied it will not only be beneficial for the students who will not be inconvenienced by the amount of time they lose when changing but the PE uniform will now serve its purpose as a prescribed university uniform. If things are still the same, then it's purpose of being a prescribed university uniform will not be attained.

   We are pleased to be part of the Eastern Visayas State University. We know we can achieve our dreams and goals through the help of this university. And we trust that our petition regarding the mentioned concern will be heard. We are expecting changes regarding this policy on the days to come. Thank you so much.
