Dear Hart District, Fix The Dress Code
The Issue
Dear Hart District, students across the district have come to realize how sexist the dress codes at our schools are. So we demand changes to be made effective immediately, like: being able to show midriff, shoulders, bra straps, stop the discrimination against poc and curvier people when it comes to dress codes, being allowed to wear chains, etc. The dress codes are sexist because they mainly target women and more developed women at that. This is unacceptable because it is not our fault, these are the bodies we were born in and we shouldn’t be punished for having them. What we wear should make us feel confident, fashion can help us express ourselves no matter what race or body type.
