The Covid-19 pandemic has been nothing short of castastrophic. This is a virus not much was known about. So, we are learning as we go while people died along the way. Even with that scenario nurses continued to accept travel assignments in the epicenters of the outbreak, continued to show up to work in the epicenters of this viral outbreak such as New York, New Jersey, Washington and New Orleans.  Every nurse putting their lives on the line and leaving behind a family worried sick for their return. These nurses headed straight towards areas that were over run with Covid-19. These nurses put their lives at risk to care for there fellow human beings during this time in crisis. They did it with heart and with passion. Not because of money because contracting this virus could mean you would never see that money. We did it because of the oath we took to take care of our patients. We did it because of the big heart that nurses have for humanity. We did it because we have a responsibility to do no harm and because we felt standing by to do nothing would be the equivalent of doing harm. For that reason I ask that you stand with me and the other nurses as we ask that student loans be forgiven for all nurses that sacrificed their lives to work in the epicenters during the Covid-19 outbreak of 2020.
