Student activists at Qatar Academy Doha want to ban single-use plastic bags in Qatar!

0 have signed. Let’s get to 7,500!

A group of Grade 5 student leaders at Qatar Academy Doha called Activists in Action has launched a campaign to ban single-use plastic bags in Qatar!

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has" - Margaret Mead

Ultimate campaign goals:

  1. Raise awareness about the dangers of single-use plastics, particularly plastic bags on our environment.
  2. Present a petition with 10,000 signatures of people supporting the banning of plastic bags in Qatar. The Activists in Action group will present this petition to Qatar Foundation and Governmental Leaders to support immediate action for a more sustainable Qatar and world!
  3. Lastly, we want to empower our students to be change-makers and learn life-long leadership skills to cultivate engaged and responsible global citizens.

We need your help! Please sign and share this petition. Encourage your network of friends to be a change-maker and join the movement to ban plastic bags in Qatar.
