Thoughts on  "5 Killer Habits: Be a Rebel"

Chapter 3 - "Dromomaniac"

In the chapter Dromomaniac from 5 Killer Habits: Be a Rebel, I understood that the word  "Dromomaniac" represents this habit of endlessly chasing something without knowing why. It is not about physical running, it's about success, approval, money, or social validation. Many people today are always in a hurry. They compare themselves with others and feel pressured to achieve more and more. Because of this, they never stop think about what truly makes them happy. The chapter made me realize that this continuous running can slowly affect our mental health. We may appear successful on the outside, but inside we feel empty, tired and stressed. We compare ourselves with others and set goals based on society's expectations instead of our own dreams. The  author explains that being a "Rebel" does not mean breaking rules; it means having the courage to pause, think and choose out own path.

I learned that life is not a race where speed matters most. What matters is clarity and purpose. If we run without direction, we may reach a place that does not bring peace. This chapter teaches us to slow down, understand ourselves, and protect out mental well-being before chasing the world.

Thoughts on "Misunderstood: a guide to mental wellness

Chapter 1 - "A Journey into Mental Health"

In the Chapter, A Journey into Mental Health, I understood the mental health is something every person experiences, whether they realize it or not. The chapter explains that mental health is not just serious disorders, but how we think, feel and handle daily life. The chapter explains that many people hide their emotions because they are afraid of being judged. This silence makes people feel lonely and  misunderstood. The author describes mental health as a journey because our emotions changes with time. Also highlights how people sometimes ignore their feelings, sometimes we feel strong and confident and sometimes we feel anxious or lost. That does not mean we are weak. It means we are human. Instead of judging ourselves or others, we should try to understand and support one another. I learned that ignoring our emotions can make problems bigger, but when we accept our feelings and talk about them, healing slowly begins. If we support each other and speak openly about mental health, we can create a kinder and safer world. This chapter made me realize that mental wellness starts with awareness, honesty, and self-love.
