The Issue

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to be hosted by the United States, but recent geopolitical events and ongoing international issues are compelling arguments for reconsideration of this decision. The role of hosting the World Cup comes with immense responsibility and should be awarded to nations that uphold the values of peace, justice, and equal rights.

United States foreign policies and military interventions have raised ethical questions about its commitment to global peace. Hosting an event of such magnitude in a nation that has been involved in conflicts affecting millions raises significant concerns. The international community must evaluate whether a country with a track record of starting wars for nothing, should symbolically lead an event promoting unity through sports. Most recent atrocious act of war crime was committed by USA when it bombed a girl's school in Iran killing 160 kids!

Simultaneously, we request to ban Israel from participating in the upcoming World Cup. Reports and investigations by groups like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have confirmed that Israel has commited war crimes in Gaza and other areas of Palestine. International Court of Justice has issued warrants to arrest Netanyahu for his crimes in the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.

FIFA has a precedent of suspending and banning nations or clubs for a range of violations, including for starting a war like it has banned Russia since start of Ukraine war. Refusal by FIFA to ban Israel smells of selective activism and violates FIFA's values and commitments to the global community.

Therefore, this petition calls on FIFA and relevant sporting bodies to reconsider hosting rights for the 2026 World Cup in the USA and to reevaluate Israel's membership status. We urge FIFA to take a stand for ethical integrity and align sporting events with global justice norms.

By signing this petition, you are advocating for a World Cup that upholds the true spirit of sportsmanship — one that champions peace and unity for all.
