Everyone has access to everything, including children, in an era where everything is digital. With children being online they are vulnerable to online predators who will exploit their innocence and trust. Not only this but it can cause cyberbullying which can cause severe emotional distress. Children also unknowingly share sensitive information on social media making them more vulnerable to identity theft. Most social media platforms are designed to be intentionally addictive which can negatively impact children's mental health and well-being. We need stricter laws because of this. This petition seeks to create a safer online environment for our children. This will protect them from potential dangers that lurk in the virtual world.
