The Bungalow Park area of Atlantic City has a play ground for kids ages 5-12. On 7-1-2011 the owners of a pitbull decided to let their dog run around. To everyone's surprise, the dog began to attack the children. My daughter Zephania Johnson who is actively involved in community activities, was bit by the dog on her legs and thighs and later taking to the Atlantic City Medical Center for treatment. Her mother and I went to the police station to press charges on the dogs owner who lives one block away. It's now 7-3-2011 and we haven't recieved a phone call or a visitation from the police station letting us know that the dogs owner has been contacted or the status of the dog. Having stricker laws for pitbull owners is one of the issues that need to be addressed in this city. If you watch channel 2 in this area you will hear the complaints of the Afro-American community that has never been answered. I am also writing Mayor Lorenzo Langford and his staff letting them know whats the use of having a police sub station in the community if no ones home. This could have been someone eles son or daughter.
