These individuals face limitations on their mobility and access to recreational areas, hindering their ability to fully enjoy and utilize the beautiful landscapes our state has to offer. 

If UTVs remain illegal for use on Virginia’s public roads, we risk losing economic opportunities for local businesses that cater to outdoor recreation, as well as diminishing the quality of life for residents who seek safe and legal ways to engage in their hobbies. On the other hand, legalizing UTVs can promote tourism, enhance accessibility in rural areas, and ensure that these vehicles are used safely and responsibly, benefiting both individuals and the community at large.

Now is the critical time to act as Virginia continues to evolve in terms of outdoor recreation and transportation needs. With growing interest in off-road activities and the need for sustainable travel options, the legalization of UTVs aligns with our state’s commitment to embracing modern recreational practices.
