ZocDoc claims it is not discriminating against Medicare and Medicaid patients (essentially the elderly, children, disabled, and indigent people) by saying these patients can still book on each practice's website using the ZocDoc widget on the website of the doctor's practice.  

This sounds eerily familiar and disgusting to the racial segregation era of the United States when black people before the 1960s had to drink from a separate fountain or sit in the back of the bus or go to separate schools.  

The whole point of being able to use ZocDoc's own Marketplace website is to be able to do a search of doctors with available appointments based on the specialty, your problem, and your insurance.  But being denied use of the website because you have insurance covering your elderly status or your disability and being told to just book on doctors' own website is segregation based on age and disability.  It also simply isn't practical to visit every single practice's website and try to search for available appointments.

People who work at ZocDoc should really review American history and think hard about supporting a company that is violating public accommodation laws that prohibit discrimination based on age and disability.

Shame on ZocDoc.
