The Issue

(Edit: he got undemonetized but I gonna leave this up for a few more days just in case) Like many, I have been watching SML Previously (SuperMarioLogan) for years. His content has brought joy, laughter, and entertainment to millions of fans globally. However, despite his efforts to comply with YouTube's guidelines, his channel has been demonetized four times without just cause.

SML has made significant changes to ensure compliance with YouTube's policies, including discontinuing the use of Nintendo characters that initially brought attention to his content. Despite these efforts, the channel continues to face unjust demonetization, threatening not only Logan and his friends livelihood but also the entertainment source for many devoted fans.

Demonetization without clear and fair reasons presents a concerning precedent for YouTubers who rely on the platform as a primary source of income. It is crucial that YouTube provides transparent communication and better support for its creators, especially those like Logan, who strive to adhere to guidelines while entertaining millions.

Specifically, we are asking YouTube to:

1. Review SML's content with transparency, ensuring that demonetization decisions are based on clear guidelines.
2. Provide detailed explanations for any demonetization actions, allowing creators to understand and rectify issues effectively.
3. Create a fair appeal process for demonetization to ensure creators' voices are heard and considered.
4. Engage with creators to update policies that are outdated or overly punitive, recognizing the dynamic nature of creative content.

Supporting this petition means advocating for fairness, creativity, and the sustainability of a beloved creator like SML. Sign this petition to urge YouTube to stop the unwarranted demonetization of SML and ensure fair treatment for all creators.
