As residents of Moreton, Wirral, we have witnessed the incredible growth and unity within our community over the past few years. Our town has become a place where neighbours come together to support one another and celebrate special occasions. One such occasion is the festive season when our streets light up with beautiful Christmas displays.

However, it has come to our attention (14/9) that Wirral Council is considering implementing a policy that would restrict display organizers from expanding their displays each year. This proposed policy is not only disheartening but also unfair to our community. The Council will review the policy 20th September, so our time is limited to act!

Moreton deserves the opportunity to continue enhancing its local area and spreading festive cheer through larger and more elaborate Christmas light displays. By allowing display organizers to expand their creations each year, we can foster creativity, encourage community participation, and attract visitors from neighbouring towns.

Our petition aims to urge Wirral Council to reconsider this restrictive policy and instead support the growth of our Christmas light displays. We believe that by doing so, we can further strengthen our community spirit and create a festive atmosphere that brings joy to residents of all ages.
