Wellsense, a manged care company for New Hampshire medicaid, has been stripping severely disabled and medically fragile children and their families of nursing services in the home as a means to reallocate funds. Homecare services reduce hospitalizations in children and  improve health outcomes by detecting changes in patient health early. It reduces care giver burnout in parents and other family members, therefore increasing quality of life for the entire family. These nursing services are essential for the children and families that recieve them. 

 In addition, some parents in the state of New Hampshire are licensed health care workers that are employed to care for their own children in order to make a living and also be able to stay In the home with their children. This is also affecting the livelihood of these families.

 What wellsense is doing is absolutely criminal. Of all the places to reduce spending this is not the place. Please sign my petition and help stop wellsense from stripping compromised children and their loving,  but burned out families from these life saving and life improving services.
