Stop Warehousing in Oldman's Township

The Issue

URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Please sign this petition to show you do NOT approve of more warehouses in Oldman’s Township. Share this petition with others and attend the next planning board meeting on December 19th. Every signature and voice matters! Let our elected officials know we do not want any more warehouses!

The “Garden State” is turning into the “Warehouse State”. Warehouse industrialization is taking over our residential communities in South Jersey. It has already come to beautiful, rural Pedricktown with the Gateway Industrial Park and now more corporations are looking to replace even more farmland with warehouses in Oldman’s Township. We must stand together and save our community and environment. As of now, multiple million-dollar projects are being proposed to our township’s planning board to convert existing farmland into warehousing. These warehouses will be next to the Oldman’s Township Airport and extend down Straughns Mill Road and across to Pedricktown-Woodstown Road. This will bring hundreds of 80,000-pound tractor-trailer trucks to our rural and residential roads and pose a threat to the safety of our community members. This project's side effects include, but are not limited to, increased noise pollution, increased air pollution, increased vehicle emissions, increased light pollution, road-damaging truck traffic, destruction of habitat for species and animals, and much more. These warehouses will also strain our community’s existing resources (police, fire and rescue, emergency medical, and public works). Join us now by signing this petition so that we can fight this oversized and unwanted industrial development. It is up to us to fight. As Oldman’s Township residents, our voices matter, so the time is now; let's act.
