The Issue

There is a concerning issue that affects not only my child but countless other students and families in our community. It has come to light that there are connections between former CEOs and current CEOs affiliated with Lifetouch, the company currently responsible for our school photos and the Epstein files, files released by the Department of Justice revealing co-conspirators and participants in the underage trafficking operation in this nation and throughout the world. This affiliation raises concerns about potential for unethical business decisions that do not have the best interests of students and their families in mind.

Aside from this important fact: For years, Lifetouch has been the go-to company for school photography. However, the quality of their service does not match the high prices we have to pay. Many parents have voiced their dissatisfaction with the impersonal service, delayed delivery times, and photos that often fail to capture the spirit and individuality of our children.

By switching to a local photographer, we have the potential to support small businesses right here in our community, ensuring economic benefits that go directly into our local economy. Local photographers are not only more accessible but also more attuned to the unique culture and essence of our community, providing a personalized touch that corporations like Lifetouch cannot. They are also more trustworthy and a safer option for our children.

Local photographers are often more flexible and can offer better deals, reducing costs for families, which is particularly important during these challenging economic times. Furthermore, local photographers often provide faster service and higher quality photos, ensuring that parents receive prints in a timely manner and capturing the true essence of those special school moments.

I urge our school district to reconsider its contract with Lifetouch and transition to hiring local photographers for school pictures. It’s time we prioritize our children's SAFETY and experience in school photography and the economic wellbeing of our local community.

Let's come together to make this change happen. Please sign this petition to show your support for hiring local photographers for our school photos. Your signature can make a difference for our children and community!
