Every day, each student is obligated to do IXL for all of 6th period. I and many other students have been suffering throughout the year due to this program. Take it from someone who is extremely hard on themself, as someone who thinks they are really good at math, seeing my math IXL score way lower than it actually should just hurt me inside. Keep in mind that IXL is based on knowledge and not your ability to learn things quickly. Clearly, the creators have no idea what being on grade level or above grade level is because this is NOT accurate at all. Additionally, we have to MAP tests quite often during the year. Why not just stick to that. The school claims they use IXL as a way to track our progress. Isn't that just what MAP is? Why can't we all just stick to one thing and not add extra work that pretty much does not teach anybody anything? I can assure you that many other students feel this way and we want a change.
