Petition for Responsible Growth and Land Use in St. Johns County and Strict Enforcement to Restrict Urban Sprawl to Preserve Our Rural and Agricultural Lands.

 

Reason for Petition:  

We, the undersigned,  as Concerned Citizens and your Constituents entreat you, the St. Johns Planning and Zoning Board and the Board of County Commissioners, to stop the Urban Sprawl and strictly enforce the Urban Sprawl Guidelines and Rules as they are written in the Land Development Code.

 

Action Requested:   

PLEASE, DO NOT APPROVE THE PENDING Tocoi River Estates (MAJMOD-2025-07 formerly "Water Lily" DEVELOPMENT.

Future use of these AND ALL undeveloped open lands should be guided by the entirety of the Objective A.1.6 Agricultural and Silvicultural Areas of the  2025 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN beginning on Page 12.  "The County shall continue to implement its Land Development Code for the protection of agricultural and silvicultural lands; the identification of rural areas, including high quality environmental areas, such as creeks, oak hammocks, flood plains and wetlands; horse pastures, historic and cultural sites."
