That visibility matters. It shows growing public concern and puts real pressure on city agencies and advocacy groups who’ve stayed silent, even after a crash injured an elderly pedestrian on July 1, 2025.
The park remains essentially unmarked and unregulated. The east side functions as a fast lane for bikes and e-devices, with no safe way for slow users to cross. This isn’t just a flaw in design, it’s a public safety failure.
What We’re Calling For:
✅ Temporary restrictions on fast-moving devices
✅ Clear signage and separated lanes
✅ A transparent, inclusive review of the park’s design, pending legal decisions around its future

Let’s keep the momentum going — thank you for standing up for safety accountability.
As I’ve said before, no more pedestrian injuries at Sunset Dunes Park. Whether the park is temporary or permanent, we need effective safety measures, now.
