Stop Unplanned Deforestation in Kancha Gachibowli – Protect Our Wildlife and Environment!

The Issue

The recent deforestation of 400 acres in Kancha Gachibowli, Hyderabad, has caused massive environmental destruction and wildlife displacement. This unplanned clearance was conducted without an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), leading to:

• The loss of thousands of trees and habitat destruction for wildlife.

• A rise in human-wildlife conflict as animals are forced into urban areas.

• A 1–4°C temperature increase in the region due to deforestation.

• Illegal deforestation without proper relocation of wildlife, as noted by the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change.

We Demand That the Government:

1. Immediately halt further deforestation in Kancha Gachibowli.

2. Conduct a proper Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) before approving such projects.

3. Implement a wildlife relocation plan to protect displaced species.

4. Engage with experts and local communities to find sustainable development solutions.

The Telangana High Court has already suspended further land clearance, but we need to ensure this destruction does not happen again.

By signing this petition, you are standing up for our environment, demanding accountability, and calling for sustainable development practices that protect wildlife and biodiversity.
