The Issue

To the Members of the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

## The Issue

Car enthusiasts across America are being fined by noise cameras—even when their vehicles are fully legal. These unfair tickets target heritage and imported cars that keep automotive history alive.

Imagine owning a legally registered classic or imported car—fully compliant with federal and state law—yet getting a surprise ticket from a noise camera. That happened to me, and it’s happening to countless others across the country. These cameras don’t care if it’s a vintage Mustang, a 30-year-old Skyline, or a restored muscle car—they punish owners who are preserving history, not breaking the law. That’s why we’re speaking up for fair and reasonable enforcement.

## What We’re Asking For

We are calling on lawmakers and federal agencies to:
1. Revise noise ordinances to include clear exemptions for antique, imported, and specialty vehicles.
2. Provide transparent communication about where noise cameras are placed and how they are enforced.
3. Establish a fair and accessible appeal process so owners can dispute unjust tickets without excessive cost or delay.

Noise ordinances were meant to target reckless offenders—not to erase car culture, punish law-abiding enthusiasts, or discourage tourism and community events built around automotive history.

Help spread the word—share this petition with car clubs, local advocacy groups, and fellow enthusiasts. Every signature takes us closer to change.

This movement starts with **1,000 signatures**—the first milestone to show lawmakers that car enthusiasts, families, and communities stand united. From there, we push for **5,000** to prove this isn’t just local—it’s a national issue. And our ultimate goal is **10,000 signatures nationwide**, a number too big for lawmakers and the media to ignore.

**Sign and share today—because preserving history, culture, and community should never come with a ticket.**
