The whole world knows about the troubles between Israel  and Palestine. Jerusalem is a holy city to both countries. Both would like to hail Jerusalem as their capital. The holiest sites to Muslim  Palestinians are the two mosques in East Jerusalem and it is East Jerusalem which Palestine hopes to have as its capital. The holiest areas to Jewish Israel are in West Jerusalem.

Trump moved the US embassy to Jerusalem in a controversial action causing outcry and protest. Israel has illegally taken over Palestinian territory and evicted Palestinian families. A richer nation, they exert power and influence.

Rishi Sunak is appeasing those associated with the Conservative  UK Friends of Israel  by emulating the US, and  is endorsing the relocation of the British  embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. There is a professionally sponsored campaign to support this controversial plan.
