Stop Transgender Hate in Congress (Start with Sarah McBride)

The Issue

Just days after the first transgender woman was elected to Congress, a republican is already causing unnecessary problems. South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace has caused a ban from transgender persons from using the bathroom of their chosen identity, forcing birth certificates to be produced and using it as evidence.
“Sarah McBride doesn’t get a say. I mean, this is a biological man…This is a biological man trying to force himself into women’s spaces, and I’m not going to tolerate it…” Says Mace.
This is not right, and trans equality is as deserved as any other form of equality. Letting this happen, forcing trans people to be seen as less than, or unequal, needs to stop. Especially in Congress, this level of hate, no matter what form it manifests in, is repulsive and shameful. You can help fix it.
