After recently changing all our blue recycling bins to fortnightly and not getting any complaints this has now given them the opportunity to change our green/grey bins to fortnightly from April 2024 and stop brown bins altogether from December unless we start paying.

if we continue to let them get away with this, how long will it be till they also want to start charging us for Recyling and general waste bins.

they are not only in the process refusing bin collections, but if your bins are damaged and you request a new bin, they now also send you a smaller bin.

This will not only effect families and cause hazards and rat/mice infestation, but also effect jobs having cut down the bin collections, they no longer need as many people working on the bins.

Fortnightly general waste collection is not enough for an average sized family even with the 240L bins, let alone the 180L they now supply as replacements having said they no longer supply the larger bins.

They have increased our council tax our council tax by 10% yet continue to reduce the services that we had.

How long will you sit back and let Thurrock council step over you.

This is the first step to let them know we are not happy with these reductions.
