Recently, our school's administrators decided to change the schedules for the 2026-27 school year. The new schedule comes with significant issues, increasing scheduling conflicts and school hours while reducing time between classes to rest and study.

The new schedule eliminates break and study halls, while adding an extra hour on Wednesdays.

Additionally, it splits course selection into two difference sections. Students from Grade 11-12 are required to choose 3 Core Courses as well as 3 Electives, with at least one course from each subject (Math, English, Social Studies, etc.). The groupings of the 3 core corses lead to students being unable to pick the APs that they want to take. Students planned their future APs off of the old schedule, but with these changes, they aren't able to take the APs they previously planned on taking. Also, some classes such as AP World History will lose instructional time.

Group A: AP Calc AB & BC, AP Stats, AP Lit, World Lit (G11/12 ELA), US History

Group B: English Seminar, AP Lang, Physics, Intro to Linear Algebra, US History

Group C: AP Pre Calc, AP Stats, Physics, AP Bio, AP Chem, World Lit (G11/12 ELA), English Seminar, APUSH.

At the very least, we deserve an explanation beyond "it's complicated".
