Climate change: long term shifts of weather patterns, otherwise known as why the world is dying. Polar bears, snow leopards, sea turtles, giant pandas, and tigers are all animals that are mainly affected by climate change. As if climate change wasn’t already a big problem, the government decided to introduce “The Willow Project.” To make matters worse, more animals are losing habitat and life at an alarming rate. The government supports this and others protest. Morally, the protesters are right. Though the President and congress support this, people are taking action and donating money to support the ending of this cause.

 The Willow Project is a plan to make more oil and fossil fuels in Alaska. Alaska will be sold for around 8 billion dollars and over 629 million gallons (180,000 barrels) of oil will be produced on the land. Due to this, the oceans will be polluted and there will no longer be a chance to ever save climate change. This idea would be considered a “good idea” if it wasn’t killing humans and animals while in process. And what is the good side of it? That people have more jobs? That economic properties have risen? That’s the promise Biden made when running for office is fulfilled only to ruin lives? This promise is a death wish for natural life. Many alternatives are provided to make energy. Using oil as a source of energy is not environmentally safe. Other alternatives are known but put to the side because oil was there first. But was it really? No. The sun and water and wind was there before oil. 

 Many opportunities to change the main use for oil and energy are existing wherever you go and look. Hydro, solar, and wind are changes that can be made. Alaska is already supporting climate change. Willow will produce nearly 250 million metric tons of CO2 over the next 30 years increasing emissions while putting the local region at risk of a spill. The lives of both humans and animals will be wasted. To help prevent this from happening, sign this petition.

Cambio climático: cambios a largo plazo de los patrones climáticos, también conocidos como por qué el mundo se está muriendo.
