The Update: After we personally handed our mandate to Deputy Mayor Gary van Niekerk on Monday (see the signed receipt below!), things moved fast.

1. The Internal Directive: The Acting COO of the Metro has formally ordered his Directors to provide a plan of action for Ward 6 by close of business TODAY. 

 2. The Provincial Escalation: Because we don’t just want promises, I have formally submitted our entire evidence pack to the Speaker of the Provincial Legislature in Bhisho and the Public Participation Committee. 

We have moved this from a local complaint to a provincial oversight matter. If the Metro doesn't deliver today, Bhisho will be watching.
