The Issue

Growing up in Crewe, I've always cherished the natural beauty and tranquility of Coppenhall Moss. It’s not just a piece of land to us, it’s a vital part of our community and a sanctuary for countless forms of wildlife. The proposed Waldron’s Place development threatens to bulldoze over 900 homes into this precious green belt land, risking irreversible damage to the ecosystem and our way of life.

Coppenhall Moss is a unique habitat that provides a home to various species of flora and fauna, some of which are already under threat. The development plans would not just disrupt but could potentially destroy this fragile ecosystem. It's our duty to protect these irreplaceable natural habitats and the biodiversity they support.

Moreover, the struggle doesn’t end with environmental concerns. The already congested roads in Crewe will suffer further as the influx of new residents could lead to travel chaos. Our infrastructure is already stretched thin, and adding more strain could collapse the system, causing inconvenience and safety risks for everyone in the community.

There are countless brownfield sites in need of redevelopment in Crewe where new homes could be built without the devastating impact on nature and the local environment. Why choose to destroy what little green space we have left?

We need your help to raise our voice against this development. Stand with me in urging the local council to reject the proposal and consider the long-term environmental and community repercussions.

Sign the petition to stop the Waldron’s Place development on Coppenhall Moss and protect the future of our beloved community and precious environment.
