Abby is an amazing teacher and the reason for many students making it to school and achieving graduation. She’s created a safe, inclusive space and represents queer students as one of the 2 queer teachers on the Vancouver alternative schools (VASS) board. The Vancouver School Board's plan to fire her due to budget cuts will have a detrimental impact on our community, especially for those who rely on her support and guidance. We must protect educators like Abby who make a significant difference in students' lives.
