Stop the Use of Island eTickets Until Consumer Protections Are Guaranteed
Stop the Use of Island eTickets Until Consumer Protections Are Guaranteed
The Issue
No One Should Be Embarrassed at an Event They Paid to Attend.
Imagine paying your hard-earned money for tickets, dressing up, arriving excited — only to be stopped at the gate and told your ticket was “already scanned.”
You know you didn’t share it. You know you paid for it. Yet you’re publicly embarrassed and denied entry.
This is not just frustrating — it is unacceptable.
We, the undersigned, are calling on event promoters, bands, party organizers, and stakeholders to immediately suspend the use of Island eTickets until serious consumer protection concerns are addressed.
Repeated reports from customers indicate:
Valid tickets being flagged as “already scanned” or “duplicated”
Public humiliation at event entrances
Financial loss
Poor or delayed customer service responses
Difficulty obtaining refunds
When someone purchases a digital ticket, they expect:
✔ Secure barcode protection
✔ A reliable and glitch-free scanning system
✔ Immediate resolution if an issue occurs
✔ Automatic refund if the system fails
Consumers should not have to prove their innocence after paying legally for entry.
