Stop the Use of Ceiling Thumpers & Vibrators
The Issue
For four years, I have endured relentless assault from a minimum of two ceiling thumpers/vibrators operating around the clock. The infrasound harassment inflicted upon me by the residents below not only intrudes on my personal space but severely impacts my health and well-being. Attached infrared cameras invade my privacy and subject me to symptoms akin to a bootleg Havana syndrome, causing me to vomit, faint, experience sleep deprivation, and endure uncontrollable shaking, spasms, and vibrations. Additionally, I am mocked, slandered, and defamed, despite having video proof of these violations.
Ceiling thumpers and vibrators are becoming a growing menace for many apartment dwellers. These devices produce low-frequency noise and vibrations that are often used to intentionally harass and disrupt the lives of neighbors. The effects of prolonged exposure to infrasound can be psychological and physiological, leading to stress, anxiety, and significant health issues. Despite numerous pleas for help and documented evidence presented to apartment management, various governmental, civil rights, and domestic violence agencies, the issue remains largely unaddressed and continues to be dismissed as "too new" for concrete action or legislation.
The time has come to bring awareness and halt the exploitation of such devices before they proliferate further and impact more lives. Through this petition, we want to compel lawmakers to recognize the severity of infrasound harassment and include it within the legal framework of domestic violence and harassment laws. We are asking for the prohibition of ceiling thumpers and vibrators in residential settings and the development of robust guidelines and regulations that prevent such misuse.
With your support, we can demand the attention and action needed to address this disturbing form of harassment. Please sign to help ban the use of ceiling thumpers and vibrators, ensuring safe and peaceful living conditions for everyone.
