On February 7, 2023, it was announced that Roblox is going forward with the updates in regards to depictions in games. This will allow a game with perhaps rating for older audience to portray profanity, romance/dating, gambling, and alcohol. However, kids can always bypass the age restrictions by making their account birth year older than what they truly are. This would be further reinforced in a blog from Wednesday, May 17, 2023 where they said could envision a variety of game types such as "virtual dating".

However, the BIGGEST problem out of the February 7th news release is the allowance of romance and dating. Roblox already has a huge online dater problem. This update has the potential to unravel that problem into something completely beyond control, and could lead to governments warranting charges due to the negligence to stop grooming and other sexual behaviors on Roblox AND third party websites, especially targeting minors.
