Stop the Unfair XL Bully Restriction in Northern Ireland

Stop the Unfair XL Bully Restriction in Northern Ireland
The Issue
As an owner of an XL bully dog, I am deeply concerned and disturbed by the recent portrayal of this breed by the media and government. These dogs are being unfairly stigmatized, leading to a proposed restriction in Northern Ireland that threatens our beloved pets. This is not just about my dog; it's about all XL bullies who are being judged based on their breed rather than their individual behavior. Note than recently it has been estimated there are only 140 registered bully breeds within Northern Ireland.
The problem lies not with these dogs but with irresponsible breeding practices. Backyard breeders often sell these dogs to those who misuse them for quick profit, treat them poorly, and then abandon them. This is a human issue that needs addressing - DEED NOT BREED!
Just recently in Scotland, an XL bully was attacked by off-lead dogs and couldn't defend itself due to existing restrictions on its behavior. How does this ban protect anyone? It doesn't – instead it punishes innocent animals for human failings.
We need your support to stop this unfair restriction from coming into effect in Northern Ireland. Let us focus on responsible ownership and breeding practices rather than demonizing a specific breed of dog.
In addition, breed specific legislation has been in place for over 30 years we currently have four banned breeds and dog attacks still exist. Surely this would indicate that this legislation DOES NOT prevent attacks! If the ban were effective in decreasing attacks why have attacks in England still continued? IT IS NOT THE DOG!! When will we blame the right end of the lead? The dog will always pay the ultimate price and lose their lives for the ignorance and failures of humans!
Please sign this petition today – let's stand up for our four-legged friends who can't speak for themselves! They sit for us…let us stand up for them ❤️
