The Philippines is producing animal cruelty & slaughters around 11.1 land-based animals per person per year, compared to the global average of 10.1. Imagine how big that rate is, as a fur parent, it is very heavy to imagine how those persons can do that to our dear innocent animals. No one has the right to hurt any types of animals. Nobody can take away their rights to feel free to live without being run after and killed.

As we all know, there are a lot of dog breeders out there who are selling different lovely dog breeds, some of them are cheap and some of them are too expensive. A lot of irresponsible breeders who desperately want to make money are spreading on the streets and even on the internet. Some of those people tend to breed the females over and over and over then skip the genetic screenings which can lead to very sick puppies and can be sold to the public. The animals might seem healthy but later they can show issues like parasites, eye disease and even the deadly Parvovirus.

This petition's goal is to increase the number of imprisonment to 8 months and 10 years above if proven guilty and the fine of the animal violators to P5,000.00 to P50,000.00 above if proven guilty just like the number of imprisonment and fine for human abusers to prove that animals have feelings too, they are hurting too and it is really hard for them because they can't speak. This petition can truly be helpful to stop the backyard breeders and especially the spreading of animal cruelty in our country. If you sign this petition, you can truly help those animals who are being used and abused just to make money, those neglected stray cats and dogs, those who really need help and are very affected by this issue. If this petition reaches the Government they can surely help to easily file a bill to strengthen the protection of the animals rights and give justice to those who died because of animal cruelty.

In addition, the friendship and bond between humans and animals is really considered to be devoted and forever like the typical characters of our pets or sometimes we call our fur babies. Furthermore, once they start to love us, we will always have a big space in their hearts. Plus, they became our friends and very protective towards us like their own family members. I've experienced buying an expensive dog but I personally bought him because I fell in love with him, I feel like It was love at first sight. To be honest, I don't have any intention to buy one but when he approached me the first time, I felt something. Now, he's very protective towards me and he doesn't want me to go anywhere but to stay at home.

To end this, we should let the animals co-exist with us not just because it is part of their rights but as being aware that they have feelings too and especially have lives to live. They should be treated with love, care and compassion so BE AN ACCOMPLICE AGAINST ANIMAL CRUELTY. Lastly, if we can provide food and protect the stray animals, let's feed them and protect them at all costs. Let's ADOPT, LOVE, SAVE AND SPEAK for ANIMAL RIGHTS.
