In Greenwood, SC, a group of thieves known as "The Sweats" have been wreaking havoc on the community and I have personally suffered at their hands. It started off slowly when my ex and these boys formed a group and began by stealing from me. They scavenged my home for appliance parts and sold them at local appliance stores and on eBay. I found myself caught in a storm where they tried to jump me. I was immobilized as I had a broken foot and three of them, wielding bats, had cornered me. Fearing for my life, I pulled a gun hoping to defend myself but instead, I was the one arrested.

When I got out, my world had fallen apart. I lost my home, my business, and all my possessions; all I had left was the outfit I was wearing when I was jailed. It is infuriating to see these boys roam free, continuing to cause harm to others in our community.
