Tomorrow, the City of Irvine's Deputy Directors of Community Services Corey Lakin, Dena Diggins, and Kathleen Haton (Senior Planner) are meeting with me at 3:45pm and supporters of the Temporary Dog Park are invited. This meeting was arranged by Corey Lakin to address our questions about the Temporary dog park. If you would like to attend email me at crit@IrvineDogParks.com for the time and place we will meet up before hand, I would love to have you there!
The delegation has 30 minutes, so we don't have any time to waste. The primary topics are concerning the Temporary dog park, if and when it will open, any questions and suggestions we have for them about it. I have had many emails to them already, some of them with suggestions and concerns about the Temporary dog park. Here is a preliminary list of interest items.
Temporary dog park
- Will the Temporary dog park @ Oak Creek Community Park where it is be completed and opened to the public?
- If so, when?
- Entrances - only one entry for each side and they are opposing each other making for a severe bottleneck.
- Condition of the ground - clay, it stays muddy, so overwatering needs to be addressed.
- Seating?
- Shade?
- Lights?
- Dog waste bags?
- Trash cans?
- Will weekly maintenance require the entire day?
- Fencing along the transition to the hill along Valley Oak needs to be secured.
- Will there be some form of community message board?
Central Bark
- When will it close?
- How will the dedication plaques and tribute tiles be handled?
