Stop the Starvation Genocide in Oleshky! Open a Humanitarian Corridor NOW!
The Issue
Since May 2024, the Ukrainian city of Oleshky (Kherson region), currently under Russian occupation, has been placed under a complete humanitarian blockade. The city has NO electricity, NO running water, NO gas, and NO food. Humanitarian volunteers trying to bring bread are being targeted and shot by drones. People are literally starving to death and are forced to eat stray animals to survive. This is a deliberate starvation genocide in the 21st century.
We demand that the United Nations (UN) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC):
Immediately intervene and demand Russia to clear a "green" humanitarian corridor for civil evacuation.
Ensure the safe delivery of life-saving food and medical supplies to the trapped citizens under international monitoring.
Please sign and share this petition. Every signature is a voice for the starving people of Oleshky. Silence kills!
📢 International Community Demands Action:
The catastrophe in Oleshky is no longer just a local tragedy—its horrifying scale is now officially recognized on a global level. On September 19-20, 2026, the Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, which unites Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, and Jewish communities, issued an emergency international appeal.
These religious leaders officially petitioned the United Nations (UN), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and Pope Leo XIV, demanding immediate intervention to rescue over 6,000 trapped civilians (including around 200 children) who are on the brink of starvation.
In response, the World Council of Churches (WCC) joined the demand, urgently calling for an immediate end to the humanitarian blockade and ensuring that these people gain access to food, water, and safe evacuation. Furthermore, Ukraine has officially initiated an emergency review of the Oleshky crisis at a meeting of the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe).
Global institutions are finally raising their voices. Our mission here in Miami is to amplify this chorus on the streets of the United States, reach American Senators, and force the UN and the Red Cross to move from statements to real, life-saving actions on the ground!
