I have watched people take furry fandom and therianism too seriously and lose their humanity. This is a growing concern in our community, as more individuals are becoming engrossed in these subcultures to the detriment of their social skills, mental health, and overall well-being. Studies suggest that excessive involvement in niche subcultures can lead to social isolation and identity issues (Source: American Psychological Association).
