The YouTube algorithm promotes alt right extremism by allowing radical content creators to post hate and misinformation. Because of the YouTube algorithm recommending these channels, myself and many others have fallen victim to alt-right indoctrination.

For several years I believed in hateful and divisive ideology, all of which I had learned from large creators on YouTube. Many of the ideas I believed to be the truth, were racist, sexist and anti-LGBTQ. I was fortunate enough to realize what I believed was wrong, and rethink my opinions. However, there are many others who continue to promote the hatred they learned from YouTube.

YouTube needs to take responsibility for allowing this type of content by restricting these creators, and enforce stronger anti-misinformation rules.
