I am starting this Petition to ask for the rule to be changed to protect stray dogs and cats that are found, but not reunited with previous owner or are stray.. When they are brought to a Pound If a home isn't found for them within seven days the dog warden will try to find them a space at a local shelter. If this is impossible and the dog/cat isn't adopted from the warden then, sadly, the dog/cat  may/will  be euthanised.

This is basically Murder!.. please sign to get the new government to get involved and change this rule. All animals deserve a chance!. I get that some people get a pet, then realise the actual cost and decide they cannot keep the animal, so take it to the pound! This is what can happen! No home found in 7 days, PUT TO SLEEP!.. let’s ask for help for these dogs and cats? Get the government to offer funding to charities to help house them, not murder them!
