The Issue

258 million acres of natural wonders and national forests shouldn't belong to corporations. We all know corporations don't have our best interests at heart. If this portion of the Big Beautiful Bill was to pass, say goodbye to our collective nature reserves, natural landmarks, and majestic animals we have here in the Western USA.

If you took Yosemite, the Sierra National Forest, and the Sequoia/Kings Canyon range, that whole stretch is still only 3 million acres - instead, they want to sell off nearly 100x more than that!

"This land is your land, this land is my land - from California, to the New York Islands - this land was made for you and me"

The 'Big Beautiful Bill' seeks to sell off massive portions of public land - land cherished by wildlife, adventurers and nature enthusiasts (hunters, ATV users, bird watchers, hikers, runners etc). This proposal puts profit > people and preservation, considering natural treasures as mere commodities to be traded without input from the people surrounding them. Such actions are not just an affront to environmental sustainability but a theft from future generations who deserve to witness the grandeur of untouched landscapes.

Preserved public lands are havens for wildlife and contribute immensely to the region's ecological balance. They serve as critical habitats for endangered species, help combat climate change by sequestering carbon, and provide invaluable educational and recreational opportunities for everyone. Once sold, these lands will be subject to exploitation, jeopardizing their ecological value and limiting access for ordinary citizens. Do we really need more overpriced cities full of pollutants?

In California and across the Western USA, public lands are not just points on a map — they are integral to our identity and wellbeing. Allowing corporate interests to dictate the fate of these lands undermines the environmental and cultural fabric of our communities. Each portion of land sold is a piece of our natural heritage lost forever.

Stand with us against the commodification of nature and demand that lawmakers reject any attempt to sell public lands under the 'Big Beautiful Bill'. Our landscapes hold more value as unspoiled wilderness than as fodder for financial gain.

Together, we can ensure our lands remain wild and free.

Preserve the legacy of these beautiful spaces for ourselves and generations to come.

Support this cause and urge lawmakers to protect public lands from corporate takeover.

Your signature can make a difference in the fight to keep our natural wonders in the hands of the people.
