As an Animal lover .. I have hit the breaking point of the care and lack of knowledge that these department stores have for their Reptiles. I was at my local petco buying aquatic food, and I was informed by an employee they had Crocodile Skinks available as I looking and saw they had a peter banded skink. Well they paired the males and females together, and welp they had a baby. Petco just does not have the knowledge and time, anything to handle a baby reptile. Mainly this reptile burrows, needs HIGH HIGH humidity, and they had no real water dish either . The peter banded skink is also WILD CAUGHT , not even most small reptile stores keep them yet. I am just always walking in and seeing reptiles not in the proper enclosure. The reptiles they get in are also VERY HARD to keep mostly, and some are the size of your pinky finger and are being sold ! I could go on and on and on but they just aren't knowledgeable enough, and this should end.
