As a proud member of the Union School Corporation community in Randolph County, IN, USA, We have always cherished our school spirit symbolized by our mascot - the Rockets �. It is deeply personal to me and many others who have grown up associating this emblem with unity, strength and ambition. However, recent discussions suggest that there are plans to replace our beloved Rockets mascot with a "Furry" dinosaur.

This proposed change has left many of us feeling disconnected from our school's history and tradition. The Rocket mascot has been part of Union School Corporation for decades; it represents not just a symbol but also an identity that we all share as students and alumni.

Moreover, there is no clear rationale behind this sudden shift. The decision seems arbitrary without any significant benefits or improvements to the school's image or spirit.
