There is a community of elderly and disabled people who live in and around Circle Dr in Winterville, NC. Most of these people are on disability or social security. In 2019 a company called Saratoga group and their other company SG communities bought the mobile home park. Since they bought it, they have been steadily increasing the rent to force out these people in the name of "upgrading" the community. Most of these people will not have a place to go if they are forced to leave and will not be able to afford to sell their homes or have them moved. We have been trying to contact SG communities, NC state attorney's office and the town of Winterville. SG communities routes all communication to the local office and have refused to stop the rent increase. State attorney generals office will start an investigation but it will take too long. And the town of Winterville will not contact anyone from the community back. These people need to have a voice, they need to be heard, they need our help.
