I, Erica Garrett, have requested to speak at the Biddulph Blanshard Fire Board meeting on July 13, 2026.  As one person I am one voice. I am gathering signatures in support of more voices to say we oppose the reduction of the Granton Fire Service fleet.  

The reduction of a fire vehicle could cause insurance rates to increase, could increase response times and lessen the strength of the response. Ultimately, and in the worst case scenario, could cost a life or lives.  

The area that the Granton Fire Service covers values their services and their prompt response to calls. We, the community, want this fire department's doors to remain open and believe that they are a key part of the entire Lucan Biddulph community and a support to the surrounding communities as well. 

I understand that Granton Fire Service may need upgraded vehicles.  I do not believe that the vehicles should not be updated.  I do believe that we deserve to remain at a capacity that will serve the community effectively and properly.
